Measuring your success is key to growing your success. With all the advancements in analytics from platform to platform, it’s important to understand what to measure, and how to use that information.

A/B testing compares the pre-determined variants that you want to compare. You can test subject lines to determine the best language to use to yield higher open rates. You can also test content variations within your emails to determine if your customers are more likely to click on a link, button, or image.

Heatmapping is a very important tool to gain insight from. This gives you a visual report of link/image clicks and click percentage.

Sales generated from your e-mails provide a solid understanding of the ROI of your efforts. Properly linking your marketing platforms with your e-commerce websites, as well as Google Analytics, is crucial to gaining the most accurate and thorough reporting possible.
